“ Luxury is simplicity. ”

I founded Maison Norki in 2010, a company that embodies elegance, quality, and authenticity, which I will, of course, introduce to you throughout this blog in my posts.
But beyond my professional life, I am, first and foremost, a mountain enthusiast—drawn to its majestic landscapes and the unique way of life it inspires. This blog is my space for sharing, a place where I invite you to explore the finer aspects of mountain living through my lens.
Thanks to my many travels to meet clients, I’ve had the privilege of discovering the world’s most stunning ski resorts set against the most incredible mountain landscapes.
I’d love for you to join me on my journeys and share in the experience!

An Unconditional Love for the Mountains
My connection to the mountains began in my childhood. The moment my feet touched the first mountain trails, I knew that these special places would forever be etched in my heart. The first mountains I encountered were the Tatra Mountains, in southern Poland, with their snow-capped peaks, deep valleys, and grand landscapes, along with their traditional sleigh rides. To this day, they remain my sanctuary—offering refuge, inspiration, and a sense of renewal.
Both mountain seasons—summer and winter—hold a crucial place in my life, each with its own magic and unique pleasures. In summer, I love to hike the trails, lose myself in nature’s beauty, indulge in culinary delights that accompany these special moments, and observe the flora and fauna that, throughout the seasons, put on a show like no other. There’s nothing more soothing than being surrounded by majestic landscapes bathed in a soft, golden light.
In winter, the mountain transforms into a white kingdom where snow blankets everything, creating a fairy-tale setting. Winter sports, from downhill skiing and snowboarding to long snowshoe hikes, are at the heart of my joyful moments. Winter in the mountains also brings a warm and convivial atmosphere—cozy evenings with friends, afternoons spent reading by the fire, wrapped in a fur blanket, listening to the soft murmur of the falling snow outside.
The Art of Mountain Living: A Perfect Balance of Nature and Refinement
What fascinates me most about mountain life is the balance between simplicity and luxury. Despite its harshness and often difficult climate, the mountain carries within it a raw beauty and a philosophy of life that manifests itself in the respect for the natural elements that shape it.
As an enthusiast of architecture and design, I find that this simplicity is beautifully reflected in chalet architecture—these warm retreats that blend tradition and modernity. In these spaces, you find ultimate comfort, where wood, stone, and light converge to create an atmosphere that is both intimate and grand.
I am captivated by mountain architecture, which masterfully highlights noble materials and the surrounding nature. Each chalet should be a sanctuary—a place where you feel at home, a space where you can both recharge and savor the present moment. It’s a true “home.”

The Simple Pleasures of the Mountain
Beyond luxury, there are priceless simple pleasures to be found in the mountains. Walking in the wild, discovering unspoiled trails, meeting the mountain locals who share their knowledge, passion for their land, and warm hospitality. There’s the joy of spending an afternoon tasting local cuisine, savoring comforting dishes at a mountain restaurant or even in the tranquility of your own chalet, surrounded by loved ones. The mountain is not just a place, but an invitation to slow down, take time to live, and reconnect with the essentials.
Winter, more than any other time of year, is synonymous with shared moments with loved ones. The days are short, light plays with shadows, and the cold temperatures encourage gathering around a good meal or sharing convivial moments in a cozy living room. The mountain offers the incredible opportunity to strengthen family bonds, appreciate the small things, and fully enjoy the company of friends. It’s a true art of living, a return to roots, away from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
Culinary Arts: A Gastronomic Experience in the Mountains
The mountain also has a significant impact on gastronomy. As an epicurean and lover of fine things, I’ve discovered throughout my travels that the mountain can be a true source of culinary inspiration. Local products, often sourced from nearby farms or the land itself, are exceptional in quality and represent the essence of the region.
From mountain cheeses to artisanal cured meats, and specialties like fondue, raclette, or tartiflette, every meal is a tribute to tradition and terroir. These comforting flavors, shared around a table, have the power to bring people together.
But the mountain is also a laboratory for chefs, who reinvent themselves to offer a unique gastronomic experience. Whether it’s refined menus in luxury chalets or al fresco meals after a day of skiing, dining in the mountains takes on a special dimension. In this setting, luxury doesn’t lie in extravagance, but in authenticity and attention to detail.
